UMT-12 Ultrasonic PC Card

The UMT-12 Ultrasonic PC Card was originally designed by ULTRAMET company in Radom as a PC expansion card for a typical IMB PC computer. Modern solutions based on large scale integrated circuits and installation of four-layer printed circuits allow to fit the entire flaw detector on only one PC card and provide excellent metrological parameters, as well as high stability and reliability during the operation. Analog signal sampling frequency 72MHz, a frequency response of the measurement receiver: 50kHz, 15MHz (-3dB).

For materials defects detection the UMT-12 Ultrasonic PC Cards successfully replace analog flaw detectors previously used in laboratory applications. Additionally, these devices offer a wide range of new possibilities of digital analysis of ultrasonic signal connected with a very fast analog-digital processing and working in the computing environment. The use of mathematical methods (eg FFT) to analyze digital signals allows to specify the parameters of the investigated materials with an accuracy higher than when the classical analogue technique is applied.
