BIOGRAPHIC DATA:

MSc. in metallurgy. PhD and DSc. in materials science. Full professor at the AGH University of
Science and Technology, Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science (2008-
2016). Head of the International Centre of Electron Microscopy for Materials Science at the AGHUST
(2010-2016). Since 2017- full professor in the Centre of Electron Microscopy for Materials
Science at the AGH-UST.

EXPERIENCE and RESPONSIBILITY:

 

Area:

Materials for Energy Systems and Aeronautics (superalloys, titanium and its alloys,
intermetallics, steels, coatings…). High Temperature Materials. Metallic biomaterials. Science
and Applications of Electron Microscopy.


Teaching:

- Materials for Energy Systems and Aeronautics, Electron Microscopy and Microanalyses,
Analytical Electron Microscopy courses in the AGH-UST (in Polish and English),
- Visiting professor in:
  · Germany (Forschungszentrum Jülich, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel)
  · Switzerland (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne),
- Chairperson of 10 European Summer Schools on electron microscopy at AGH-UST,

defended (most of them awarded); currently supervisor of 3 PhD students.

- Author or co-author of more than 500 scientific articles in journals and peer-reviewed conference
proceedings, 14 chapters and 5 monographs on materials science, electron microscopy and
application of metallic alloys,

- Co-editor of 15 conference proceedings of international conferences and Schools at AGH-UST.
